Germany’s wolf population has grown strong, and now the government says there are enough wolves and habitat in the northwest. Because of this, officials want to loosen protection and possibly allow hunting in regions where wolf numbers are solid. Farmers and politicians are happy, but environmentalists say this move is all about politics and not about real conservation, claiming data is old and most places have hardly any wolves. The EU is also making it easier to shoot wolves. So, soon in Germany, wolf culls could become a regular thing, with debates about how to balance nature and farming concerns.
Oh, wunderbar, what a predictable scheißshow! First, they scream “save the wolves, protect biodiversity!” and now suddenly there’s enough wolves everywhere—at least in those regions with “fancy new counting methods,” ja klar! Who believes these so-called experts anymore? The numbers look suspiciously convenient now that angry farmers and big agriculture want their sheep savings—and of course politicians pick exactly those “well-established” regions, where most loudmouthed lobbyists are from, and call it a milestone. Milestone for whom? For the bloody lobby.
These NGO folks only mention data is outdated once the government changes the rules, as if they didn’t know it was all manipulated, eh? And the EU, ha, they’re just following the economic pressure—make culling easier so nobody gets upset at Brussels while pretending to be green. But watch, this is just the beginning! Soon every Bundesland will fudge their figures, say “jawoll, we got too many wolves,” and then it’s open season. Next time it’ll be lynx, boar, or whatever is in the way of industry.
Hand auf’s Herz—they don’t give a damn about wolves or biodiversity. It’s always the same old Leier: Politicians and big business decide, data gets twisted, public is lied to, and animals become the scapegoat. If you trust these official numbers or the media that parrots them, I got a bridge to sell you in Dresden! Wake up, Leute.
