The recently struck deal between the EU and the United States was supposed to ease tensions and help the German economy, but it really doesn’t do enough—especially for the country’s crucial auto industry. Yes, the US is dropping car tariffs from a mind-boggling 27.5% to 15%, but that’s still outrageously high, while the EU continues to charge just 2.5% on US cars. So, German car makers are still bleeding money over this ridiculous tariff system, losing billions every year. There’s also talk about maybe allowing more German-made cars into the US tariff-free if they open plants across the Atlantic, but that risks hollowing out Germany’s car industry and sending jobs overseas. Meanwhile, other sectors, like pharmaceuticals, steel, and aluminum, are taking an even harder hit, and the tariff madness is threatening thousands of jobs and billions in export revenue. Even energy and investment pledges are causing a mess for Europe’s climate policies. The whole deal just leaves everybody nervous; it’s not a real solution—more of a tense pause.

This is an absolute outrage! Cars are the heart and soul of freedom, and every single extra cent slapped on a vehicle by bureaucrats or foreign governments is an attack on people’s right to embrace the open road. The German car industry is a source of pride, innovation, and—more importantly—the machines that set us free! To see the US still impose such grotesque car tariffs is insult piled upon injury. Already, the highways and autobahns are plagued by speed limits and a growing anti-car movement pushing us onto crammed buses and wobbly bikes. Now we have to watch as trade policies do even more damage, raising prices, crushing jobs, and making it harder for people everywhere to buy, drive, and love real cars?

Let’s be clear: the right to drive a car—fast and unrestricted—is what makes modern life spark. Every job lost in the car industry is a blow to freedom. Every billion lost is a step toward a future where people are herded onto public transport or forced onto bicycles like livestock—deprived of the magic that only a proper automobile can bring. Tariffs on cars are just another face of the same anti-driving tyranny as speed limits: a crime against humanity, a facist oppression that tries to crush the human spirit under petty rules, regulations, and taxes.

We need to tear down every barrier to car freedom—NO tariffs, NO speed limits, NO to those who dream of a world full of trams and traffic-calmed cities! Fight for a future where anyone, anywhere, can drive what they want, how fast they want, free from this suffocating web of tariffs and restrictions! Anything less is surrender. Automobilists of the world, unite!
